Samsung Galaxy S III to launch in London on May 3

Samsung Mobile is sending out invites for an event that is to be held in Earls Court Exhibition Center, London on May 3. The tagline for the big launch says, “COME AND MEET THE NEXT GALAXY”, which coincides with the rumors for the Samsung Galaxy S III launch that had been the buzz a few weeks back with image leaks on Reddit and other technology blogs. Samsung would also livestream the product launch via Samsung’s Official Facebook Page and the Samsung Tomorrow blog.

Folks interested to watch the live streaming can tune to the aforesaid sites at 7PM UK time (11:30PM IST).

The rumored specs of the Samsung Galaxy S III include an HD Display, Quad-Core CPU and Android ICS. We hope that the mysterious and rumored buzz for the ‘S III’ finally gets unfolded with some brilliant specs and other goodies. Sony Mobile launches the Xperia S Smartphone in India at Rs.32,549

Sony Mobile has officially launched the Xperia S Android Smartphone in India. The Xperia S was showcased along the Xperia P and Xperia U at MWC 2012, which belongs to Sony’s next generation flagship, the NXT Series. The Xperia S flaunts beautiful style and design while boasting great hardware specifications for stable performance. It comes with a 4.3-inch Reality Display (1280×720 pixels) with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 1.5 GHz Dual-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 32GB in-built storage, 1.3MP front camera (supports HD Video recording at 720p), 12MP rear camera with LED Flash (supports Full HD Video recording at 1080p), 1750 mAh battery and Android Gingerbread 2.3(supports upgrade to Android ICS 4.0 by Q2 this year).

Instagram for Android update adds supports for Tablets, SD card installation and more

We’ve been talking about Instagram for Android for a while. Well yes, it is another update that has popped up from the development team at Instagram. The new version for the app brings a majority of changes, which adds support for Tablets and Wi-Fi only devices, installation of the app over an SD card, and fixes audio mute bug during an image capture. Application install over a memory card seems to be a very big change, most of lack on internal phone storage and might not like to add an app the consumes a lot of space, so with this update you guys can move your app to the SD card and continue enjoying it. The support for tablets and Wi-Fi only devices also brings in a wide spectrum by adding more news users to the Instagram kitty. For folks with an older Android device having Wi-Fi only capabilities can now enjoy photo sharing at ease. Last but not the least the update fixes a bug causing the sound to mute while clicking a photo and also several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Google Play Store update 3.5.16 brings in bug fixes and more

Google Play Store has been updated to version 3.5.16, the release is targeted to solve major issues with the store app on account of its past update, which was released to fix issues and eventually caused more problems than solutions. The update schedule would begin soon and will be pushed via OTA. For geeks and users facing issues with the store and don’t want to wait for the update may download the same using the link below. The update seems to resolve known issues like force close or crashing the store, faster performance, smarter web experience, better navigation and more. The update does not seem to deliver something out of the blues and it makes its way to fix all known issues with the earlier update. We also see the return of paid apps that had been off for a while.

The frequency of recent updates by Big G suggest that they are working fast to make Android a consistent and addictive platform for everyone. The Google Play Store is still on its way to grow bigger, better and evolve as stable as the Android Market.

Folks who are interested to install the update via the APK file can do so by enabling the option to install from unknown sources, which is located under the applications tab of the settings menu. Once the install process is complete I would suggest rebooting the device to ensure complete stability. If you want to wait for the update to be delivered without any hassles, the best option is to be at peace. I know most of us would just want to be lazy with the weekend approaching soon and enjoy things as the come.
