Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 arrives India

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab 7.7 across the US that has finally made way to gadgets lovers in India. The tablet has got some great specs as well a sleek and easy to carry design. A 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display providing dynamic, sharp, and vivid photos on the go. The amazing display offers highest pixel density of 197 (ppi) with a splendid resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The device hardware features a 1.4 GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM and is powered by Android Honeycomb 3.2 OS. If you are a storage junkie you have some cool options to opt-in for that includes 16GB internal memory and a Micro SD expansion card slot with storage support up to 32GB. The Android OS is accompanied with Samsung’s Touch WIZ UX interface. It has a 2MP front camera and a 3.2MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash that supports HD Video recording. Standard features like USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (Dual Band), and HSPA+ connectivity are there for on the go data access and file transfer. The product comes at a price tag of INR 33,600.

Lenovo ThinkPad and IdeaPad tablets to get Android ICS 4.0 update by Q2

Lenovo recently announced its plans to release the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update for its ThinkPad and IdeaPad tablets. The update is expected to arrive by Q2. However the company as not given any specific date for the release. The tablets would showcase better UI and added capabilities with ICS 4.0 that act as  key enhancements considering the pre-installed Android Honeycomb 3.1 OS.

Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi and Asus Transformer Prime were among the early implementers to provide Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to its users.

Google Maps for Android got updated to version 6.1.1 that brings major bug fixes for tablets and smartphones. The update solves problems on certain Honeycomb based tablets that lead the navigation app to start automatically. It also fixes an issue with phone numbers being displayed in search results. LG Optimus Pad LTE is now official

LG Optimus Pad LTE is now official.

LG has officially announced its first tablet with LTE support the Optimus Pad LTE. The Android based tablet flaunts an 8.9 inch 1280×768 “True HD” IPS display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. The device has an in-built internal storage of 32GB while being accompanied with an SD card slot with up to 32GB support. LG has made sure to integrate valuable features like DLNA and HDMI to enhance the overall media sharing experience. The tablet would ship with a 6800 mAh battery running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The company has not shared any news about upgrades to Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.

“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity,” – Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.

The Optimus Pad LTE also integrates in-built features like Smart Movie Editor for image and video editing at an ease and Web Duet combines email, search, messaging and support for sharing at ease across multiple social networking sites all at one go.

The tablet would be released in LG’s home South Korea followed by an early release worldwide.
