Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has introduced the ‘Berry Pink’ Samsung Galaxy Note in South Korea. The launch of the vibrant pinky handset has its prime focus on female users and the youth as it flaunts a peppier vibe. We still await more details on the availability of this new variant across regional and international markets, for now its just Korea. Not to forget the super stylish pink “S Pen” and the optional pink protective case that adds more fun and glamor. The smartphone would soon join its other variants i.e. Black and White, providing users with an option to wear the skin they like. On the innovation front we have already seen Samsung constantly over delivering to user demands and needs, which also includes the Premium Suite of Apps that are especially designed for the Note and would be accompanied along the Android ICS 4.0 upgrade.

(Samsung Galaxy Note ‘Berry Pink’)

An interesting catch to the images showcased on the launch of the ‘Berry Pink’ Note include the Android ICS interface, which can be identified by the presence of the ‘Search Widget’ as it is not the same for Android Gingerbread devices. Keeping in mind that the Note is already due for its upgrade to ICS 4.0, it isn’t mind blowing to see the new interface as a part of the latest release. Lets hope that it makes through fast or even earlier than the tentative dates. Females who were dying for that pinkish girly touch have a new option added to their kitty if they still haven’t bought a phone till now.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is an awesome Tablet-Phone that I would recommend to all our readers, it has over 5 Million units shipped globally and still counting. You can check out the complete specifications by clicking here.

Samsung Galaxy S owners in Korea can finally consider the rumors to be true, the manufacturer has introduced a ‘value pack’ for the Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy K and Galaxy U. The update is targeted to bring Android ICS 4.0 alike features to its mid level segment. Its great to see Samsung making an initiative for its users base considering that the Galaxy S was launched way back in mid 2010 with Android 2.1 Éclair loaded on to it. The ‘value pack’ would introduce features including the famous facial unlock, the ability to click images while recording videos, enhanced photo editing functionality, and fresh folder options to the launcher menu. We know that many of you would not like to settle for anything besides the Android ICS 4.0 on to your smartphones. For Android lovers and geeks who have already played around with some custom ROM’s can try out the ICS based ROM’s available across the market.

The ‘value pack’ update for now stands still for the manufacturers homeland Korea, we still await news on region or country specific release for the same. We would keep you guys posted with any further buzz as we come to know more about it. If you are among the champs who have already tried the update and would like to share your opinion on the same, please leave your comments.

Samsung Galaxy S II owners in Europe including Poland, Hungary, Sweden and Korea get Android Ice Cream Sandwich update being pushed to their devices via OTA starting today. The mobile giant assures the update to release very soon among other regions and markets steadily. Android ICS is one software improvement that most users want to try fumble around with, while adding new features and new apps to their smartphones. The company promises ICS updates to be made available soon for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy S II LTE.

Clarity on carrier specific releases worldwide for ICS update are among things that we can’t really predict too soon as it completely depends upon specifications and presets by wireless companies, based on which the update would be made available or scheduled across lined up regions. We still wait on more info on the same and would keep you posted on the latest buzz.

The mobile giant eyes early adopters and new users with the opportunity to get a stylish protective case with an extra battery across both the carriers to the first 20K users.

Refreshing our thoughts on the LG Optimus Vu, it was one of the cool gizmos added to LG’s smartphone portfolio that were released prior to MWC 2012 while being actively showcased later at the grand event in Barcelona. We see some brilliant specs on the device that include a 5-inch IPS display, 1.5 GHz Dual-Core CPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (ICS 4.0 Upgradable), 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8MP camera, capacitive stylus input, sleek and stylish design.

Gadget lovers in Korea can get their hands on with the smartphone at a price tag of 999,900 won (approx. US $890). We sill await news upon worldwide release and pricing.

This seems to bring some good changes as we generally tend to forget stuff while we are on the run, with this new implementation it could be a lot easier to increase productivity and simplicity as these are user programmable and can be redone as many times as per your needs and moods. Sony has also brought a similar feature on to its selected Xperia handhelds that is also known as “Xperia Smart Tags” allowing NFC capable communication. The Optimus Tag LTE has a 4.3-inch IPS display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, and the good old Android Gingerbread 2.3 to top it up.

LG Optimus Tag LTE Quick Specs:

4.3-inch 650 nit IPS WVGA display (800×480 pixels)

1.2 GHz Qualcomm Dual Core Processor

Android Gingerbread 2.3 (upgradable to Android ICS 4.0)

5MP Auto-focus camera with LED Flash

1.3MP front camera

16GB internal storage

Sharing capabilities via NFC (LG Tag+), DLNA, MHL (Mobile High Definition Link)

1700 mAh battery

Dimensions/Weight: 126.5 x 67.9 x 9.53mm / 141.7gms

The Optimus Tag LTE would available across Korea late February at a price tag of 800,000 Korean Won i.e. US$ 710. Information on the worldwide release of the smartphone is yet to be out. We would keep you posted for more news.
