Dropbox for Android update adds support for file and folder link sharing

Dropbox for Android update has been rolled out, although the changelog states ‘Performance improvements and bug fixes’ as a part of the current release, the app adds support for file and folder level link sharing. For users who were already testing or using the beta release for the app would have already noticed the feature in place that allows users to share individual links for any file or folders. The timing for the update seems to be perfectly in place, while we suspect Big G’s new service i.e. ‘Google Drive’ for Android to be out very soon. Google would have to prove its self again to be the best by bringing a twist for its upcoming file sharing app by either integrating it towards all its verticals and services or by doing something ‘Magical’. Samsung Galaxy S III available for preorder with Amazon Germany

Online retail giant Amazon has a preorder page up for the Samsung Galaxy S III, after all the rumors and leaked videos this is something all of us can actually see and believe. Originally the tentative launch of the handset is scheduled at Samsung’s big event ‘COME AND MEET THE NEW GALAXY’ to be held in London on May 3. A glimpse from the specifications listed include a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 16GB internal storage, expandable storage up to 32GB with Micro SD cards, Android ICS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a 12MP AF camera with LED Flash.

The product page neither carries an image for the device nor does it specifies the estimated delivery date for the phone. Folks desperately waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S III can preorder the gizmo at a price tag of EUR 599 (US $792) VAT inclusive. We still wait for an exciting and mind wobbling official launch for the S III, as it would unfold many more aspects beyond the basic set of specs. Samsung is a key innovator in the Android arena bringing new smartphones and tablets to its portfolio day on day, with proven success for Samsung’s ‘Galaxy’ series there is much more to expect out of the Galaxy S III.

Instagram for Android update adds support for Samsung Galaxy Y

The team at Instagram has rolled an update for its Android app. The application provides bug fixes to resolves issues with certain devices running on Android Froyo 2.2. Instagram also adds support for Samsung’s entry-level smartphone the Galaxy Y, which was earlier incompatible. Apple’s New iPad to arrive India by April 27

Apple, in its recent press release announced that the New iPad would be available across South Korea and 11 other countries. The New iPad arrives South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela by Friday, April 20, 2012. Regions including India, Colombia, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand would get the New iPad starting Friday, April 27, 2012.

We would see both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 4G variants for the iPad to be available with storage capacities of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The entry level Wi-Fi only model of the 16GB iPad is priced at Rs.30,500, while the Wi-Fi + 4G model comes at a price tag of 38,900.
