HomeShop18 cheating customers on Gift Voucher usage in India

HomeShop18 India’s TV Sales and Web Sales platform is cheating Customers by NOT HONORING Discount Gift Vouchers received on previous purchases.

Please have a look at the Gift Voucher and the Order for a Mobile Phone on HomeShop18.

The above shown Gift Voucher was received on 30 March 2012 by Courier with an expiry date of 31 March 2012 (1 day’s usability).

Upon ordering a Mobile Phone on the homeshop18 website, the Gift Voucher is not being accepted. Please check the Screenshot of the Order.

On calling Customer Care (better be called Customer Harassment Department), the Customer Care Executive and her Supervisor said they reserve the right to change the terms of the Voucher anytime and would not honor the Discount of Rs.200/- on a Mobile Phone. Surprisingly, the Terms and Conditions of the Gift Voucher do not state anything to that effect.

Asus has finally launched its amazing tablet the Eee Pad Transformer Prime in India at a price of Rs.49999. The company has only unveiled the 64GB variant while we still await news on the 32GB model. The tablet features a whopping 10.1-inch Super IPS+ LCD display, NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor, 1GB RAM, and Android Honeycomb 3.2 pre-installed (upgradeable to Android ICS 4.0). The price of the product can act as a big constraint to users while opting for the tablet, as the it seems to on the higher side. One should go through a detailed comparison across major brands before making any final decisions. If we think beyond price the barrier, the gizmo offers true amazing specs to crave for.

Samsung introduces Galaxy Ace Duos, Galaxy Y Duos, and Galaxy Y Pro in India

Samsung, our very own Korean giant seems to be on a roller coaster ride with its yet another release of Android powered dual-SIM smartphones Galaxy Ace Duos, Galaxy Y Duos, and Galaxy Y Pro in India.

The Galaxy Ace Duos is the reincarnation of its predecessor Galaxy Ace that was launched last year. The devices features Dual-SIM Dual Active technology that allows both GSM and CDMA connectivity. The phone accompanies a 3.5-inch HVGA display (480 x 320 pixels), a 832 MHz processor, 384MB RAM, a 5MP Camera, 1650 mAh battery, Micro SD card support up to 32GB, Android Ginger Bread 2.3 with TouchWiz UI, A-GPS, Bluetooth (V 3.0), Wi-Fi, USB, and HSPA 7.2Mbps(3G) connectivity.

The Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos are Dual-SIM GSM only smartphones that share some common hardware specs. The Galaxy Y Duos has a 3.14-inch QVGA TFT LCD display (240 x 320 pixels), a 832 MHz processor, 384MB RAM, a 3.2MP camera, 1300 mAh battery, Micro SD card support up to 32GB, Android Ginger Bread 2.3 with TouchWiz UI, A-GPS, Bluetooth (V 3.0), Wi-Fi, USB, and 3G.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab 7.7 across the US that has finally made way to gadgets lovers in India. The tablet has got some great specs as well a sleek and easy to carry design. A 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display providing dynamic, sharp, and vivid photos on the go. The amazing display offers highest pixel density of 197 (ppi) with a splendid resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The device hardware features a 1.4 GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM and is powered by Android Honeycomb 3.2 OS. If you are a storage junkie you have some cool options to opt-in for that includes 16GB internal memory and a Micro SD expansion card slot with storage support up to 32GB. The Android OS is accompanied with Samsung’s Touch WIZ UX interface. It has a 2MP front camera and a 3.2MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash that supports HD Video recording. Standard features like USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (Dual Band), and HSPA+ connectivity are there for on the go data access and file transfer. The product comes at a price tag of INR 33,600.
