If you are among users who take photo snapshots often, the app now allow users with the option scale the image or save and sync it with its original size. The change is very handy considering network usage, especially for people particularly on a 2G or a slow connection.

Adding Pinterest to your WordPress Site, the easy way

Adding Pinterest to your WordPress Site, the easy way

Pinterest is one big thing that everybody is targeting to gain traffic and visibility across varied platforms, beat it your website, mobile apps, or even all of us who target social media for big time conversion opportunity. The purpose for me to write this post comes into action, as I felt that many websites have mentioned complex ways to add Pinterest to WordPress powered blogs or sites, which include a bit of code to fumble around with, while most of us would not be at ease or would not like to give it a try. Before straightaway coming to the point as to how we integrate or add Pinterest, I would like to inform that “Pinterest” as a platform has massive potential for growth and everybody wants to target it as a platter of self publicity. I have gone through many success stories and I am still aiming to get the most out of the wonderful photo blog.

“My Point: No Coding and Easy Integration”

•    Pinterest Floating Style Integration

So for all the newbies or folks who don’t like to code or like managing everything in a way simple manner, I would suggest you people to use two plugins. The first plugin adds the “Pin It” in the form of a scrolling or floating share, the same plugin can be seen towards your left. It pins the featured image of your blog post on the fly to the Pinterest site. To make you remember, the floating share style is originally inherited from Mashable and has now become the most common phenomena across all sites. Beyond the “Pin It” option, you get standard features like Facebook Likes, Tweets, Google + 1’s, Digg, Stumble, Linkedin and more, which again depends on what all you want to add-on.

•    Pinterest Button Above or Below Posts

The next plugin I share with you  is an interesting share as well, the reason why I am keeping it as backup or standby option is due to sole reason that most of us add the Facebook Like, Tweet, and Google+ 1 button with posts, when we simultaneously add the Pintrest “Pin It” button above or below posts it might spoil the appearance or layout of your respective WordPress sites.  It might also require you to work over the theme style sheet or CSS file to ensure proper and correct placement of the button.

I suggest two plugins that you may try, I have tried both but liked the floating variant personally and hence finalized on the same.

I hope that my post would help you achieve the goal and the momentum that “Pinterest” provides via huge audience and hence increasing visitors to the site as well the publicity gig over social networks. If you face any issues please leave a comment and I would get back to you at the earliest. You can also reach me if you need any Pinterest invitations. Enjoy ! 🙂

Nokia E6 gets an update for Messaging and Calendar app for Nokia Belle

Nokia E6 gets an update for Messaging and Calendar app for Nokia Belle

Nokia E6 users running Symbian Belle on to their devices get two small updates for the messaging and calendar app via software update. In order to receive the latest software for the E6 you would be required to update your smartphone firmware to Symbian Belle from Symbian Anna, which can be easily done using Nokia Suite, with the option to backup relevant data and restore it upon update. The latest version for the messaging app (10.00(12)) brings in character count indicator on the top left, while the calendar app (10.03(7)) update handles a fix the Lotus Notes Traveler.

We have also read discussions on the calendar update causing failure of flash video playback on the E6, the same had been restored after reinstalling Symbian Belle on the phone. For complete details on the same you may refer to this link. We would recommend users to backup data before updating their phones over software update, as it would ensure complete stability and safety for your data. Upon completing the installation you would be asked to restart the phone and you’re done.

We would love to hear your feedback on the same, if you have any queries about the E6 or the update, do leave a comment and we will get back to you at the earliest. 🙂

Samsung Galaxy Note gets an update, fixes bugs with video editor app

Samsung Galaxy Note gets an update, fixes bugs with video editor app

The International edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note gets a firmware update pushed over-the-air. The update is still based on the Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 OS. The new firmware brings on improvements packed into action, with the most prominent bug fix for the video editor app where certain issues were noticed while working on video clips with lower frame rates as well the ones that had the “fade” effect in use, causing the video to blur and render unstable output upon playback.  Besides the video editor app, the mobile radio on the device also gets updated to version XXLB2 with the software version being updated to XXLC1, all summing up to total size of 40MB.

Samsung Galaxy Note is what I term as a “Tab-Phone” as it packs in all the glamorous looks, Android power and gives a proves to be a decent competitor the  Apple iPhone. The Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update for the Samsung Note was supposed to be due by end of March this year, but with rumors popping in each day it might be delayed for the next quarter. Hopefully we still have few days left in this month and I would surely like to see the ICS 4.0 flavor of Android to be showcased soon on the smartphone. The availability for the current update might vary upon your current region as well as carrier limitations.
