Sony Mobile has announced yet another designer smartphone for Xperia lovers, the Xperia sola. The Android powered gizmo debuts Sony’s new addition to its UI called “Floating Touch”, which would provide easy to use, quick, and smart web experience over the device. We have a 3.7-inch Reality Display with scratch resistant glass and Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine, a 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread pre-loaded (supports upgrade to Android ICS 4.0 arriving this summer), NFC including the dynamic and revolutionary Xperia SmatTags, xLoud with 3D surround sound, DLNA and a 5MP camera with Fast Capture support. We even see great entertainment overdose packed into the phone with direct access to Sony Entertainment Network, which allows handset users to view unlimited music and movies over Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited streams. Samsung Galaxy S II gets a taste of Android ICS in Europe and Korea

Samsung Galaxy S II owners in Europe including Poland, Hungary, Sweden and Korea get Android Ice Cream Sandwich update being pushed to their devices via OTA starting today. The mobile giant assures the update to release very soon among other regions and markets steadily. Android ICS is one software improvement that most users want to try fumble around with, while adding new features and new apps to their smartphones. The company promises ICS updates to be made available soon for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy S II LTE.

Clarity on carrier specific releases worldwide for ICS update are among things that we can’t really predict too soon as it completely depends upon specifications and presets by wireless companies, based on which the update would be made available or scheduled across lined up regions. We still wait on more info on the same and would keep you posted on the latest buzz.

Google Maps for Android updated, simplifies navigation menu

Google Maps for Android updated, simplifies navigation menu

Source : (Droid-Life)

Google Maps for Android gets updated to version 6.4.0, adding simplified and better design to Google Navigation options menu for devices currently running Android ICS 4.0. Google has made an endeavor to remove the old geeky vertical menu, which used to pop out while we used to press the menu button, while bringing a new grid based approach. Google Maps is one app that most of us would like to use either for navigation, address resolution, search on the go, or even just for fun. Recently we saw Google introducing Indoor Maps that even make our experience more intuitive and interactive, the feature is still limited to US and a few more regions, I hope that I arrives globally soon as it would involve new location based action, curiosity and joy to explore more stuff. I even await for an ICS update for my Sony neo v that would allow me to checkout ICS based apps more often, For readers who still haven’t had a hands on the brilliant app can download the same from the Google Play store using this link.
