Samsung Galaxy Note ‘Berry Pink’ launched in South Korea

Samsung Galaxy Note ‘Berry Pink' launched in South Korea

Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has introduced the ‘Berry Pink’ Samsung Galaxy Note in South Korea. The launch of the vibrant pinky handset has its prime focus on female users and the youth as it flaunts a peppier vibe. We still await more details on the availability of this new variant across regional and international markets, for now its just Korea. Not to forget the super stylish pink “S Pen” and the optional pink protective case that adds more fun and glamor. The smartphone would soon join its other variants i.e. Black and White, providing users with an option to wear the skin they like. On the innovation front we have already seen Samsung constantly over delivering to user demands and needs, which also includes the Premium Suite of Apps that are especially designed for the Note and would be accompanied along the Android ICS 4.0 upgrade.

An interesting catch to the images showcased on the launch of the ‘Berry Pink’ Note include the Android ICS interface, which can be identified by the presence of the ‘Search Widget’ as it is not the same for Android Gingerbread devices. Keeping in mind that the Note is already due for its upgrade to ICS 4.0, it isn’t mind blowing to see the new interface as a part of the latest release. Lets hope that it makes through fast or even earlier than the tentative dates. Females who were dying for that pinkish girly touch have a new option added to their kitty if they still haven’t bought a phone till now.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is an awesome Tablet-Phone that I would recommend to all our readers, it has over 5 Million units shipped globally and still counting. You can check out the complete specifications by clicking here.

Instagram for Android update adds supports for Tablets, SD card installation and more

Instagram for Android update adds supports for Tablets, SD card installation and more

We’ve been talking about Instagram for Android for a while. Well yes, it is another update that has popped up from the development team at Instagram. The new version for the app brings a majority of changes, which adds support for Tablets and Wi-Fi only devices, installation of the app over an SD card, and fixes audio mute bug during an image capture. Application install over a memory card seems to be a very big change, most of lack on internal phone storage and might not like to add an app the consumes a lot of space, so with this update you guys can move your app to the SD card and continue enjoying it. The support for tablets and Wi-Fi only devices also brings in a wide spectrum by adding more news users to the Instagram kitty. For folks with an older Android device having Wi-Fi only capabilities can now enjoy photo sharing at ease. Last but not the least the update fixes a bug causing the sound to mute while clicking a photo and also several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Existing users may update the app via Google Play Store, for folks who haven’t tried or had an unsupported device can download it using the link below.

Google Play Store update 3.5.16 brings in bug fixes and more

Google Play Store update 3.5.16 release brings in bug fixes and more

Google Play Store has been updated to version 3.5.16, the release is  targeted to solve major issues with the store app on account of its past update, which was released to fix issues and eventually caused more problems than solutions. The update schedule would begin soon and will be pushed via OTA. For geeks and users facing issues with the store and don’t want to wait for the update may download the same using the link below. The update seems to resolve known issues like force close or crashing the store, faster performance, smarter web experience, better navigation and more.  The update does not seem to deliver something out of the blues and it makes its way to fix all known issues with the earlier update. We also see the return of paid apps that had been off for a while.

The frequency of recent updates by Big G suggest that they are working fast to make Android a consistent and addictive platform for everyone. The Google Play Store is still on its way to grow bigger, better and evolve as stable as the Android Market.

Folks who are interested to install the update via the APK file can do so by enabling the option to install from unknown sources, which is located under the applications tab of the settings menu. Once the install process is complete I would suggest rebooting the device to ensure complete stability. If you want to wait  for the update to be delivered without any hassles, the best option is to be at peace. I know most of us would just want to be lazy  with the weekend approaching soon and enjoy things as the come.

If you are techie and have already applied the update via APK, please share your views on overall performance and stability by dropping a comment. It would help other users to get a better insight.

Motorola Mobility has introduced two new 3G variants for the Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition. The Wi-Fi only and 3G + Wi-Fi versions for the device can be ordered via Carphone Warehouse. The XOOM 2 3G + Wi-Fi version comes at a price tag of £449.99, while the XOOM 2 Media Edition is priced at £399.99. Tablets are and trending like anything, beat it for students, kids, moms or professionals. The XOOM 2 series by Motorola exhibits great specs carrying forward the legacy of the original Motorola XOOM series, being lighter, faster and sleek. The only key hindrance that may lie towards the newly launched tablets may include Android Honeycomb as the OS that goes pre-loaded with it. As everybody is moving towards the Android ICS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) buzz, tablets with equal or better specs with ICS on it range in the same price band. For people who just love the XOOM 2 can still consider it as an option, the Wi-Fi only versions for both the aforesaid models still exist and start at £299.99. E-commerce comes in very hand for everyone at this point with the option to compare, review, and buy.
